About the Book
In Beaten but not Broken Vanessa finally breaks her silence by chronicling – in graphic detail – her five-year-long hell in an abusive relationship with a colleague. Her story also lays bare her heartbreaking experience as a victim of childhood bullying and being ostracised by some in her close-knit Indian community for being dark skinned.
This brutally honest memoir gives you a painful glimpse into the heart ans soul of a battered woman. It unpacks why, time and time again, she could not walk away and how she finally mustered the courage to put an end to the relationship and start the often winding journey to healing. This is a story full of possibility and hope. It is the story of a true survivor.
